The heart and soul of Codemotion are the communities. We strongly believe in diversity and inclusion of every community in Spain or in the world. We are open to anyone who agrees with these values and helps us to empower a healthy community.

This Code of Conduct aims to create a safe place with everything that surrounds the event (conference, stands, networking, etc), regardless of:

  • Race and/or ethnicity
  • Gender
  • Background
  • Sexual orientation
  • Language
  • Age
  • Socialeconomic status
  • Religion
  • National origin
  • Marital status
  • And any other type of diversity.

All participants (as well as staff, sponsors and speakers), must follow this Code of Conduct. We request to everyone involved in Codemotion Madrid to be respectful with each other.

The following behaviours/attitudes won’t be tolerated and could be reported immediately:

  • Violence or threat of violence, or any type of violence
  • Personal attacks (can be physical or verbal)
  • Derogatory language
  • Stalking, Harassing, Bullying to any of the participants
  • Promotion of sexual images and/or sexual jokes, and/or sexual comments
  • Unwelcome sexual attention and/or unwelcome physical contact
  • Sustained disruption of talks, meetings or presentations

Any of the behaviours detailed above won’t be tolerated in Codemotion and can provoke the expulsion from the conference (without any possible reimbursement).

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. Sponsors should also follow this anti-harassment policy.

If you are suffering any type of abuse or witnessing harassment of any type, or are concerned for a particular situation, feel free to contact a staff member as soon as possible. Staff members can be easily identified through their t-shirts and will be happy to assist you in order to contact the local security or pertinent authorities, provide escort or otherwise assist those who are being abused so that they feel safe for the duration of the conference. We highly value your presence and your physical and mental integrity.
We hope that all participants follow these guidelines during any activity related to the conference like workshops, events, networking, etc.
